Guilt!

Oh my goodness. For someone who only two months ago was keeping track of every single thing she did in a week, I have been awfully silent. I think I've just let myself run out of time! We've had some really great amazing things happen - like a trip to New York for a long weekend and an uber exciting marketing contract that combines my core passions. So, I was thinking, maybe the push to publish on this thing only comes when my life is harried and I need to get everything in order? All this week, I've thought, "I should really get something up there. Like the tree!" (Because sandwiching all of our New York pictures on the camera are my weekly tree documentations that I have yet to upload.) But then I think, "but instead of that I should probably work on press releases and other things that I've been paid to do." And so I work on those things after I get home from work but only until eight because someone reminded me that I'm still technically a newlywed and so watching DVR'd episodes of The Soup, Modern Family and Justified on the couch with my husband and new favorite cocktail is also in order.

So, you know, I'm here. And I know full well that I owe more pictures of the tree and should probably get back to cooking one new thing a week like I promised, and should also finish my copy of Cheesemonger: A Life on the Wedge because that was my March book to read and I should already be on Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. But instead I need to get going because I'm selling olive oil at a luncheon where John Ash is the featured guest speaker and then I'm headed to a Kings Game in Sacramento, because if I didn't do those sorts of things I would feel super guilty and lame-o for letting work rule my life.

Hi there! what a fun first post for me to read. I'm glad you did the newly wed thing. Shows you have your priorities straight! I'll come back!
